SUMMARY:Rapid detection of cultivated truffles from root tips using loop mediatedisothermal amplification
DESCRIPTION:Register to Webinar\n\n\n\n\nWebinar Overview:\n\n\n\nDespite the global success of truffle cultivation\, the accidental cultivation of undesirable truffle species has been a persistent issue. To address this issue\, we developed four molecular assays for the rapid detection of Tuber aestivum\, T. borchii\, T. brumale and T. melanosporum from ectomycorrhizal root tips. These assays can detect as little as 10 – 3  ng of DNA in 30 minutes and are of a comparable cost to widely used PCR-based methods. In this webinar\, the methods used to develop these assays\, and their potential applications will be discussed. \n\n\n\nSpeaker\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	\n\n\n \n\n\n\n	\n\n Alassane Sow\n\n PhD Student\, Microbiologist/Mycologist \n\n	\n\n	\n \n Alassane Sow is a PhD student in the University of Florida Department of Plant Pathology working under Dr. Matthew E.
