Partial Trained Truffle Dogs/ Prospects Re-Homing

Hi All. This post is about a few dogs looking for a possible rehome with someone in the truffle Industry, possibly.

While you absolutely DO NOT need a Lagotto for Truffle Hunting, being that I do what I do, I know of 3 currently who are looking for rehoming situations, including one with several nose work titles and is started on the truffle- she’s about 3. She’s a good little hunter and a nice dog. I’ve worked with her before. That particular dog is located in California. She does require being an only dog household but otherwise no behavioral concerns. She’d be an awesome hunting dog for someone who has a farm. If I didn’t have other dogs I’d take her in a heartbeat.

There also is a Lagotto here in Seattle, where I am based, who would be a good prospect, about 18 mo neutered male. No behavioral concerns, his family just realized that he would be happier in a working home if one was found. Hasn’t been truffle trained yet, but he’s pretty malleable and on the chiller end of the spectrum, so would be a good family pet for someone with also hunting thrown in the mix.

There is also another Lagotto in Seattle who would be a stellar hunter on a farm, but he has more management needs. Started a little on truffle. A longer transition is needed for this dog to adjust to a new home, but if curious, please reach out and I can connect you with his current Foster.
