Does anyone spread their own lime?  Our local resource is often too busy in the spring and doesn’t love navigating between our trees.  Recommendations?

I just had a 16 tons of lime delivered and I’m preparing to rent the lime buggy from my local farmers coop.  I ordered directly from the quarry since it was cheaper and the coop will rent it out for around $75 per day

We are in NC and have not been able to find a good resource for renting a lime buggy that will spread farm lime.   Purchasing a lime buggy that will spread farm lime seems to be $8k and up.  We looked at the $2k pelletized lime spreaders but then the lime cost goes up quite a bit.  Considered modifying a used salt spreader that we found nearby for about $1k but before traveling down that road we wanted to check to see if there might other options that we failed to find or if anyone else might have had to come up with a creative solution.
