About the Congress

NATGA hosts their annual Congress in the fall of each year. This annual conference on the truffle industry and cultivation in North America is open to all farmers, professionals, culinary experts, exhibitors, and anyone interested in truffles. Our two-day conference offers:

• Networking opportunities that will create lasting partnerships within the industry
• Educational sessions that focus on cutting-edge techniques in truffle cultivation, including advanced irrigation and mycorrhization methods
• Opportunities to connect with industry suppliers during the Vendor Exhibition
• New and experienced grower break-out sessions, orchard and bourbon tours, dogs, culinary events and more! 

This year, the conference will be hosted in Lexington, Kentucky and will utilize the University of Kentucky and Maker’s Mark as event venues. The dates are October 28-29 with optional, add-on experiences like a Microscopy class on Sunday and an additional Monday night truffle dinner hosted by our Premier Restaurant Sponsor.

This includes your 2-day pass to all presentations, speakers and events. A Sunday night reception, plus breakfast, lunch and snacks at University of Kentucky and lunch and the Grand Truffle Dinner at Maker’s Mark are included.

Truffle Experience Day at Maker’s Mark, Oct. 29th

Enjoy a day learning about the North American Truffle Growers’ Association, truffles and bourbon!   Tour the Maker’s Mark historic distillery and visit their 4-acre native truffle orchard.  Speak with seedling providers and truffle dog experts.  Learn about regenerative farming and talk with leading truffle researchers and growers.  End the day with a Grand Truffle Dinner under the stars.  Buses will depart from 21C Museum Hotel, Lexington KY at 8:30am and return 9:30pm.

In addition to our full 2-day Congress, come in a day early for an additional half day (10am-3pm) microscopy session held in University of Kentucky’s brand-new microscopy lab – BYOR (bring your own roots!).
