As discussed at the end of 2023, we are proposing updates to the NATGA Bylaws.
This invitation to the webinar, scheduled for August 19, 2024, serves as our notice of intent to hold a vote to approve the proposed Restated Bylaws.
At our annual meeting, we approved a change to Section 3. Amendments to allow the Board of Directors to provide for voting via proxy and/or virtual meeting.
This webinar will be the virtual meeting to prepare for a vote on the additional proposed changes including:
- NATGA Membership Levels (extends voting to Associate members)
- NATGA Mission Statement and Use of Trademark policy (proposing removal from Bylaws, and updated per input from membership)
- Composition of the officers of the Corporation (to include Associate members)
In addition to the above changes, we used this opportunity to review the North Carolina non-profit statues and made minor updates to ensure compliance. We also addressed inconsistencies regarding how we reference supporting documents and policies (previously referred to as attachments) within the Bylaws. We will cover these changes in the webinar as well.
