      I think it’s VERY IMPORTANT to note that when I wrote this, we were still assuming that the Gasaway gene which is the gene that was supposed to provide the resistance to EFB appears to have lost a great deal of effectivity on the East Coast with some projections of 100% loss of trees previously thought to be blight resistant.  Further discussion is necessary to help growers plan for this possibility.
